Bloemenpark Appeltern

A VISUAL STORY FROM BLOEMENPARK APPELTERN DURING THE PLANTENFESTIJN

01. The story behind the film

This film was created for Bloemenpark Appeltern, one of the largest display garden parks in the Netherlands. With dozens of show gardens spread across the grounds, the challenge wasn’t finding something beautiful to film, it was capturing the feeling of actually being there.

The shoot took place during the Plantenfestijn, when the park is at its most alive. That set the tone for the whole project: nothing staged, no script, just the gardens, the visitors, and the light moving through the day.

02. The approach

The goal was a brand film for social media that reflects more than the plants on display. Appeltern isn’t just a place to look at gardens, it’s about atmosphere, inspiration, and the feeling of slowing down for a moment.

Shot using natural light and combined with aerial drone footage, the focus was on showing both the scale of the park from above and the small, quiet details up close. Real moments, honest light, and the overall sense of being there.

03. The result

A cinematic brand film that stays true to the identity of the park, paired with a series of still photography for use across social media and on-site. The result captures Appeltern the way it actually feels, open, alive, and unmistakably its own.
