This series was created for Bistro de Bolle, a restaurant set in a characterful old dike building in Boven-Leeuwen. From the start, one thing mattered most, the photos had to feel unmistakably theirs.
Not generic food shots that could have been taken anywhere, but images that clearly belong to Bistro de Bolle. The space, the details and the atmosphere had to be just as present as the food on the plate.
The focus was on showing what makes Bistro de Bolle stand out, not just what was on the plate. The character of the old dike building, the atmosphere on the terrace and the details that give the place its identity.
Shot using natural light wherever possible, with the room and the terrace kept in frame on purpose. So every image carries a sense of place, not just a close-up of food that could be from any restaurant.
A series of still photography that stays true to the identity of the restaurant, ready to use across social media, the website and in-house. Real, natural, and unmistakably Bistro de Bolle.
